If your course requires papers with citations it may be worth your while to compile an ongoing list of citations. This especially comes in handy when you include electronic sources that need to indicate the day you accessed the material.

Pictured on the left: materials for my reservation profile (10% of my grade) of the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes. Most of of these items were sent or suggested to me by the Tribes' communication director who graciously gave me an hour of his time via phone (and abundant email follow-up) early in the course. Thank goodness I like to read! I'm not the only one making the most of my study time! Here's are some suggestions from Vox. I don't find all of the suggestions applicable to the way I absorb information, but they're well worth considering.
