I'm finishing up a degree. Yep, here I am at, um... an age, and I'm in school.
I think I'm approaching it differently than I did when I was younger. I figure that, by gosh, if I'm going to take this recess from regular life to put in all these hours, I'm best off if I can get the most out of my readings, discussions, and writing (as opposed to just getting the obligatory good grades). I'm spending an enormous amount of time with each process as a result, but I've developed a few tricks worth sharing with my fellow study-nuts. Please enjoy my #StudyTips. I'm edu-macating these days and have nil time for blogging. May I instead offer snapshots of my academic prose? On Thursday evening the Keith Henson Octet performed at the B Sharp Coffee House in downtown Tacoma. As I approached the café, the tenor saxophone stepped outside to warm up his instrument. It reminded me of the anecdotes in my Jazz textbook about performers who play outside a venue to attract people to their shows!
